First off, that artstyle is absolutely fantastic. I love the way every enemy has a face. The music too is fantastic and fits so well. I love the presentation of this game.

Gameplay wise I wasn’t too big a fan of the level design, there were a few random sections which felt way harder than the base difficulty (sudden spikes when switching rooms, those bullet ball stairs or those swimming sections with a height of 2 blocks).

But what I reeally loved where the enemies and obstacle designs. They feel really varied. Especially the crystal spikes and floor.

Really makes me wanna work on more Jump n’ Run things. Will probably try take some inspiration from the spritework and enemies.

The graphics are AMAZING! The atmosphere is absolutely spectacular - well done! That said, I find the controls a little unintuitive (I spent 10 minutes just figuring out that you have to press A to select in the menu). The shooting mechanics could also be revisited differently. Also, the O2 time seems too limited (or boubles sources are too rare). Don't get me wrong, the game is certainly fun - I simply think it would be even better with these tweaks. amazing work and style. i gave it a try till second level and i had a blast i will finish after my lessons. Great work brother

Beautiful pixel art, as always.
The controls are a bit too responsive (especially the swim button), meaning that it doesn't really feel like you're underwater, and it's hard to make precise movements.
On the other hand, there are far too many opportunities to replenish your air, so you can pretty much ignore the hazards, and you'll still be fine (perhaps air and health should be two separate resources?).
Obviously this was made for a game jam, but with more time spent adding content and polishing the gameplay, it could be a really fun little game.

I don't have any gameplay complaints, but select and swim should definitely be different inputs. all i want to do is be able to use up arrow to jump without screwing up the menu

cute! nice short experience, quick respawns. I would like to see some kind of boss for areas, also you should consider adding a speedrun timer. all in all good job, keep it up!!

Hi, I finished playing this game, it is very cute, there are some mechanics I like, such as oxygen bar, third level mirror reflex The protagonist's head is a little big, and some narrow places seem to be unable to avoid jumping up

That was a fun little game, it had an interesting gimmick, and nice graphics and music. The only complaint I have is that it was too easy, never died once even playing recklessly lol.

Wondering how complex the game is, any hint? :) It's just looking too good to be short.

It's about a normal underwater platformer, with a speargun. Its got three levels, I'd say all at normal difficulty, shouldn't take longer than 20 minutes max to complete!

Peak

Presentation's great as always. Loved the overall look and feel. Also love how the environments felt pretty different overall

The enemy design was also cool and varied. I love how you need to try and shoot enemies when they're near the floor, else you can't get the bubble they leave after dying.

The level design in general was great, although I'm not really a fan of how some traps and enemies in the first level were a little impossible to dodge. I think they're a little too close to the parts of the level where the camera transitions ( unless you meant for a player to take damage though lol )

Also, while I love how the levels in the crystal world appear as you move through them, I think the dangerous snowflakes(?) could've appeared a little sooner, or they could've been a different colour ? There were a few moments where I just didn't see them while they were becoming opaque. They kinda blended into the background ( as opposed to the normal blocks which were noticable even when they were becoming opaque ). Maybe just a skill issue on my side lol

All in all, this is a damn great game. Kinda want to try and speedrun it lol

Yeah, usually with LDjam games I'll have a little more time to playtest and edit/improve gameplay/levels but with 48hours didn't quite have the time. (I know I submitted this way before the deadline but I hadn't really slept until then haha.) Funnily enough the spike crystals were at one point far harder, so I did actually change that! 

I'm glad you enjoyed overall, your review has honestly put a massive smile on me face <3
